This is a great idea for a unique gift if you have a cigar lover in your circle. This set that is used for infusing flavors into cigars is sure to be something they will not already have and will enjoy using. It’s well made. The tubes and bulbs at the bottom are glass. The base is wood which is stained, but there isn’t any sort of glossy or protective finish on it. The frame is flared out so the bottom is wider than the top so that it will be stable. The tubes will fit a 52 ring gauge cigar and smaller. It may fit a 54, but I didn’t have one to try. All cigars in the pics are 52 and while the fit is pretty close there is a tiny bit more space. Thinking about it though, while a 54 may fit it may block all airflow such that the infusion process would be impaired. After unwrapping everything (it’s really well padded) it’s a breeze to use. Simple put whatever you want to infuse into your cigars into the small bulbs and attach them to the bottom of the tubes. Drop in your cigars and use the cork stoppers to plug them. This didn’t come with any instructions, but none are needed… it’s intuitive. At about $30, that feels like a fair value for this set. Now the caveat … I can’t speak to how the infusion process works yet as I intend to let these infuse for at least a couple of weeks before trying one. For now, I’m going to assume that it will work as intended because I don’t see any logical reason why it shouldn’t. If that turns out to be an incorrect assumption, I will come back and update this review. Overall, at this point, I’m very happy with it and look forward to seeing what I can do with it.
