Photo Essay Tips

While browsing on Photo Philantropy‘s website I stumbled upon a great piece of advice on how to put together a succesfull photo essay. Although it’s clearly aimed at photographers willing to work for NGOs, it still works for any kind of story told through pictures. A list of shots that should make up the story is also given including: scene setting, portrait, detail and action. In my opinion, you might just want to add a shot showing relationships between people (are they friends, lovers or just colleagues?), and a closing shot. All in all a very helpfull piece of advice for all aspiring photographers out there anyway.
